Ferramonti
Interpreting Cultural Behaviors and Musical Practices in a Southern-Italian Internment Camp
Samenvatting
During their internment in Ferramonti, Jewish musicians gave rise to musical practices (so-called Lagermusik): concerts of the Lagerchoir and Lagerorchestra, Kabarett, music for worship services and educational purposes which are here reconstructed, critically assessed and interpreted as cultural behaviors for inmates’ survival.
