Introducing Nonroutine Math Problems to Secondary Learners

• Provides over 60 examples of nonroutine problems in six strands with concrete guidance concerning pedagogy, sequencing and processing.
• Curriculum is consistent with NCTM Standards and Principles to Action, and field-tested extensively by the author and other mathematics teachers across traditional academic mathematics courses.
• Gradually moves students (with scaffolding) through seven levels of difficulty
• Involves six strands of content, three traditional math strands as well as three meaningful “non-mathematical” strands.
