Modern and Contemporary Yorkshire Poetry

This is the first book to engage critically with modern and contemporary Yorkshire poetry as a branch of literature in its own right. This is one of the first pieces of critical research to provide a sustained examination of Brexit-related poetry. This book examines the regionalities of several world-class poets (Philip Larkin, Ted Hughes, Simon Armitage) alongside one another. This book comprises the first sustained critical evaluation of the work of numerous contemporary poets (including Kate Fox, Helen Mort, Matt Abbott and Zaffar Kunial).
