Science Matters Teacher's book grade 8

Science Matters series has been developed in response to a need for materials for Curriculum 2005. These materials break down negative perceptions by showing how science is connected to people's everyday lives and how we can all think and act in a scientific way. Through activities, learners develop skills with which to tackle problems and feel part of the world of scientific discovery. Features of the Learner's Book • The book contains four modules. • It is learner-centred and activity-based. • Ideas are presented in an interesting context. • Each activity provides assessment opportunities. • The activities guide learners to produce a record of their work. Features of the Teacher's Guide • Educators are introduced to Curriculum 2005. • Terminology is made accessible. • Teaching methods and resources are included. • Answers to every question in the Learner's Book are included. • It provides background information and outlines assessment opportunities.
