The Ecology of Mycobacteria

This text on mycobacteria attempts to develop a strategy for the prevention of tuberculosis and other mycobacterioses based on the ecological behaviour of mycobacteria, especially the potentially pathogenic species capable of either growth in the environment or provoking disease.
