Non-linear Elasticity and Theoretical Mechanics

Professor A. E. Green, FRS, is one of the outstanding British research workers in the field on theoretical and applied mechanics. In addition to two well-known books, he is the author of more than 175 publications. This book contains a set of sixteen up-to-date research papers written by a number of colleagues and friends and cover a range of topics from thermodynamics to problems associated with crystals, linear, nonlinear and fibre-reinforced elastic materials, viscoplastic and granular materials. All the authors are eminent in their respective fields.
