Henri Langie

This book tells the life story of Henri Langie. An ordinary boy from Ronse who achieved extraordinary feats during his military career. Voluntarily joining the forces of the Belgian army during the First World War as a stretcher-bearer, he rose to the rank of Honorary Major shortly after the Second World War when he retired.

Based on his carefully preserved diaries, army archives, and personal photos, we reconstruct Henri's life story and attempt to cast a clear light on the past, while also providing lessons, courage, and inspiration for the future.

Strengthened by his faith, he endured many severe trials!
