Choices

Early 14th century Antwerp. Johanna is the daughter of a wealthy merchant. She is headstrong and intelligent, against her father’s wishes. When she meets Hugo, the executioner’s son, she discovers he is not the scoundrel people believe him to be. Johanna will have to choose whether or not to follow in her family’s footsteps, and she will have to bear the burden of her choice for the rest of her life.
