Cannons and Sail

The book "Cannons and Sails" of Jan de Quelery is the result of ten years of work. It contains not only large pictures on the A3 format of the paintings made by Jan de Quelery of the six sea layers of Michiel de Ruyter between 1660 and 1673 against the English. It also shows details of the paintings and discusses the technique of the ships.

The book contains large pictures of the six major naval layers that Michiel de Ruyter undertook against the English between 1660 and 1673. In addition, the book exposes the historical context of the seas, written by Graddy van Boven, co-author and conservator of the Marin Museum in Den Helder.
