This book presents a systematic, critical examination of China’s unique approach to global sustainable development focusing on South-South Cooperation. It identifies and analyses key dynamics behind China’s policies and practices in its increasing and rapidly expanding engagement with global development. Specifically, the project examines China’s South-South Cooperation and new relationships that have emerged in such cooperation in a rapidly shifting landscape of global development. It brings together a range of important topics such as the issues surrounding BRICS countries, G20, South-South cooperation, and China’s One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative. The author combines policies with practices on the ground with an extensive range of case studies drawing on both English and Chinese literature.
