Gender, Nation and the Formation of the Twentieth-century Mexican Literary Canon

This book examines and interrogates the gendered process of nation-building through literature which led to the formation of the twentieth-century Mexican canon, taking regular inclusion in encyclopaedias of Mexican literature published in Mexico as evidence of a text being canonical.
