When Giovanni Montefiore is murdered at the Italian Opera in Rome following his bold proclamation in regards to the True Cross, suspicion falls upon his nephew, Mario Montefiore. Along with his American girlfriend, they embark on a perilous quest for truth and to uncover the real killer.
