Decolonizing the Literary Imagination

This book explores the notion of dialogue adapted from Russian linguist Mikhail Bakhtin, who elaborated a critical methodology for interpreting the postcolonial encounter. The study explores dialogue in works of literature and ethnography by authors as diverse as Laura Bohannan, Ryszard Kapuscinski, Amitav Ghosh, V.S. Naipaul, and Zadie Smith.
