First published in 1991. Gulf Crisis begins with a psychological look at Saddem Hussein and his decisions surrounding the invasion into Kuwait before the start of the Gulf War in May 1990. Ghazi Algosaibi was the Cabinet Minister of Saudi Arabia during the Crisis and therefore writes with a unique insight into the complex political relationships, at Arab leaders’ reactions and debates around the initial Iraqi-Iranian War which proceeded the Gulf War.
