The Universality of Emotion

This Element surveys how a number of major disciplines - psychology, neuroscience, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, history, linguistics, and literary/cultural studies - have addressed the long-standing research question of whether human emotions should be thought of as meaningfully universal.
