The Best Man Plays

Few institutions have better embodied America's ideals and prejudices than baseball. In this work, the experiences of six African American baseball players from the 1900s to the present day are presented - Andrew ""Rube"" Foster, Satchel Paige, Larry Doby, Curt Flood, Dave Parker and Barry Bonds.
