The Livewire series is aimed at struggling teenage readers with reading ages of between six and eleven. It has been developed by special education experts to provide the very best fiction and non-fiction for struggling readers. Close attention has been paid to producing engaging and non-patronising reading materials that are accessible, well designed and visually appealing, as well as interesting and challenging. This Livewire Teacher's Book provides busy teachers with 20 photocopiable masters, as well as advice on how to use the Livewire series and work with struggling readers. Each of the worksheets provides quality follow-up work on one of the 10 titles in the Livewire Investigates series. The activities have been designed to help students develop the wide range of essential reading, writing and comprehension skills required in Years 7–10.
