I. Organizational Behaviour

The behaviour of individuals within organizations was the single most important area of study for the Tavistock Institute, and is the area where its influence is most profound. The titles reproduced here help chart the emergence of the modern discipline of organizational behaviour, covering such issues as the relative merits of bureaucratic and more open structures, the nature of leadership and organizational politics. Some of the later volumes address the crucial relationship between organizational behaviour and the emerging field of strategy. Major authors represented include A. K. Rice, Manfred Kets de Vries, and Andrew Pettigrew.
