Sex, Gender, and the Politics of ERA

This is a study of the politics of the movement for an Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution, concentrating on North Carolina, one of the states in which the ERA was defeated. There is particular discussion of the role of the religious fundamentalists who have opposed the Amendment.
